When will it happen and what will it be like?

This question runs through my mind a million times a day.

To summarize "A's" birth story, I went in for my 39 week appointment and learned that I was 100% effaced and 5-6cm dilated. Holy cow! I had been having irregular contractions for a few days. Dr S asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital that morning and have a baby! I was shocked. Fast forward....I get to the hospital, they break my water, and "A" is born about 6 1/2 hours later.

Will this labor be similar? shorter? longer?

Will my water break at home this time?

Will the contractions wake me up in the middle of the night?

Will she be born early? late?

When will she be born?

I am such a planner that the uncertainty of labor and delivery drives me bonkers! I did go grocery shopping today. The cupboards are now full, the laundry is caught up and the house is clean. I can go into labor and not worry about the house. ☺ (For now at least.....)
